The Oh So Spanish project was both.
This historic Spanish-style home had warmth, character, and architectural integrity- but like many older homes, its layout reflected a lifestyle that no longer matched how the family lived day to day. The house didn’t need reinvention. It needed permission to evolve.
The Challenge
How do you adapt a character- rich Spanish home for modern living without losing its origin story? The balance was delicate: honor the architecture while reshaping spaces to support comfort, connection, and real use.
The approach
We focused less on rooms and more on rituals. Where do conversations linger, where do evenings end and where does everyone naturally gravitate?
Nothing felt rushed or unintentional.
The Result
The home now lives the way the family does: warm, welcoming and fully embraced. Spaces flex easily between quiet moments and lively gatherings. What was once a house of “special occasion” rooms is now a home that supports everyday life.
